Annotation Editor for Semantic Analysis of Text
Šťastná, Barbora ; Otrusina, Lubomír (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis introduces the most crucial terms related with text annotation, and shows some electronic tools for annotation of electronic documents. It describes an annotation editor which provides the user with a graphic interface and allows for annotation of web documents. It also proposes modifications to the editor which would make it more intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly. The thesis follows with the description of implementation of the said modifications, and their testing.
A Tool for Analysis of User's Typing Skills as an Add-On for Firefox
Turek, Lukáš ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The objective of this Bachelor thesis is to create an application running in background, saving statistic data about typing. This data is evaluated on user's demand and displayed in a transparent form. The purpose of this feedback is to help improve typing skills. The aplication is implemented as a Firefox add-on. In this technical report I focus on the theory of touch typing technique, clarify the motivation to create my application and describe its design and implementation. There is a separate section devoted to technologies that are specific to developing Firefox add-ons. In the summary I objectively try to evaluate the benefits of this work based on experience from the users.
A Tool for Analysis of User's Typing Skills
Giertli, Anton ; Široký, Vít (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dedicated to analysis of user's typing. The reason of its origin is the aim to provide complex view on user's typographical skills. Its result is an application compatible with the 32-bit operating system Microsoft Windows, providing user with statistics when requested. These statistics include data about typing speed, error rate, typos, average word length, histogram of time differences between two keystrokes, etc. Thanks to this, user can work on his skills, watch their development in time and stay motivated for selfimproving. Thesis is also concerned with problems connected with implementations of application on Microsoft Windows platform.
A comparative analysis of the isolates of Clostridioides difficile derived from different sources.
Eretová, Veronika ; Krůtová, Marcela (advisor) ; Ježek, Petr (referee)
Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI) are generally perceived as healtcare associated infections. However, there has been recently reported an increase of CDI incidence in the community. The occurrence of C. difficile has been described also in animals, food and the environment water and soil. The aim of this thesis was to characterize C. difficile isolates derived from different sources using molecular methods. The results were discussed with available data from Czech human C. difficile isolates. A total of 135 C. difficile isolates from the following sources were analyzed: pigs n = 57, calves n = 44, horses n = 18, water n = 15 and hedgehog. Using PCR ribotyping, 22 distinct ribotyping profiles were identified, the most frequently detected ribotypes were: 033, 011, 126, 078. Both toxigenic and non-toxigenic ribotypes were detected, including binary toxin-producing strains. The most frequently detected antimicrobial resistances were to ciprofloxacin, clindamycin, and erythromycin. All ribotypes and sequence types identified in the C. difficile isolates from animals and the environment, has been found also in C. difficile isolates from humans which confirms the role of animals and the environment as a source for C. difficile. However, no epidemic ribotype 001 and 176 that dominate the current...
Analysis of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus strains from Czech Republic and Slovakia
Brajerová, Marie ; Tkadlec, Jan (advisor) ; Karpíšková, Renáta (referee)
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a major nosocomial pathogen that has spread into the community since the 90s. In general, the community-associated (CA- MRSA) strains are more virulent, but less resistant to antimicrobials than the hospital- acquired strains (HA-MRSA). Some lineages of MRSA such as sequence type 8 have been transmitted more successfully around the world than others and there are situations where a dominant lineage has been replaced by a new one. The factors that are crucial for the selection of dominant lineage are often not clear. As part of this thesis, a longitudinal study of MRSA epidemiology in the Motol University Hospital during the period of 2018-2020 was performed and the occurrence of MRSA clonal complexes was characterized. A multicenter study of the epidemiological situation of MRSA in Slovakia during the period of January - April 2020 was also performed concomitantly. Moreover, several isolates from dominant lineages were further characterized by their phenotype. In the Motol University Hospital study, it was found that the HA-MRSA of the clonal complex 5 dominates and is represented mainly by spa-type t586; a finding that concurs with recent studies from the Czech Republic. In Slovakia, similar to the Czech Republic, MRSA lineages from clonal...
